Logan signs long-term deal

2nd October 2020

Young full-back Cammy Logan has signed a new contract that will keep him at Hearts until 2023.

The 18-year-old was a regular for the Reserve team last season and has been rewarded for his showings both on the pitch and in training with a new deal.

Cammy, signed his first professional contract with the club in 2018, made his first-team debut in May 2018 against Kilmarnock and has been a regular in Scotland U17 squads.

He was recently called up to the Scotland U19s squad for their matches against England U19s next week.

Speaking to the Official Hearts Website, Cammy said: “I’m buzzing just to get it all over the line as quickly as possible. It was a no brainer and I’m very happy.

“I’ve been in training with the first team and just trying to take bits of information from the experienced players.

“Guys like Michael Smith are brilliant to watch in training every day. If you can take bits from them every day then it should help you out in the long run.

“Hopefully, down the line, I’ll be able to play in the first team. That’s the ultimate goal.

“I know I need to work hard in training and perhaps even go out on loan in order to make it, but I’m determined to do it.”
