Football Fans In Training

Football Fans In Training

The life changing programme, Football Fans in Training, is returning for a women's only cohort and football supporters can sign up for free now!

The course runs for 12 weeks and differs to the normal “weight loss” programmes out there, offering advice and practical ways to make changes to your lifestyle, all whilst going behind the scenes here at Tynecastle Park.

From good ideas about what and how much to eat, tips on changing your lifestyle, or introducing simple opportunities to exercise everyone can be a winner at FFIT.

The main aims of the programme are to:

  • Feel better about yourself
  • Become more active
  • Lose weight
  • Develop a healthier lifestyle
  • Get fitter

If you are a female aged between 35-65 with a waist size of 38+ inches OR a belly size of at least 40 inches, FFIT may be just the ticket to help you kick-off a healthier lifestyle.

Every 90-minute session contains a different topic, which includes managing your alcohol consumption, understanding food labels and balancing your diet. There is also a physical component to each week which will inspired by our FFIT tutors. This activity will be suited to your own personal stage of fitness, whether you are already active or needing to start afresh.

FFIT is open to those who enjoy football in any capacity or those who just want make changes to their health. You do not need to be a supporter of Hearts to take part in the course.

There are a limited number of places available on the following courses.

Women's FFIT Cohort 2024

  • 12 weeks
  • Tuesday evenings 6:00-7:30pm
  • Commences 21st May running through to 13th August 2024

Hearts Head of Community, Alan White: "Previous course participants have made a real difference to their lifestyles and their waistlines by signing up to the programme which is growing in popularity. Not only that they have continued to be active by organising their own activities once the courses have come to an end."
"What better motivation is there to lose weight and get fitter than spending 13 weeks at Tynecastle - it's also a great opportunity for our staff to meet real football supporters and get them further involved with the club outside match-days."

Remember these sessions are FREE thanks to SPFL funding.
