Jon Daly to take up U20s coaching post at Hearts in January.

Heart of Midlothian has agreed terms with Jon Daly to become the club's new U20s coach upon expiration of his contract at Raith Rovers in January.

The vastly experienced striker will take up his post at Hearts in January 2016, once his playing contract at Stark’s Park comes to an end.

32-year-old former Republic of Ireland U21 internationalist Jon is no stranger to Scottish football, having spent the past eight years north of the border with Dundee United, Rangers and now Raith Rovers.

Speaking exclusively to Hearts News, Director of Football Craig Levein said: “I’m delighted that Jon has agreed to join the club in January and take up the post of U20s coach.

“Jon is somebody that both myself and Robbie know from our respective times at Dundee United and it’s an exciting appointment.

“We believe he has all the attributes to develop into a great coach and we look forward to welcoming him in January.”
