Elliott Frear has revealed his past experiences in Scottish football made it an easy decision to join Hearts.
The 29-year-old wide man has penned a one-year deal with the Jambos as Robbie Neilson continues to shape his squad for the season ahead.
Having spent a couple of seasons at Motherwell, the Englishman was well aware of what Hearts were all about and is looking forward to experiencing Tynecastle as a home player.
Speaking to Hearts TV, he said: “I spoke to Robbie over the summer and it was a no-brainer. I know exactly what the club’s all about, it’s a massive club and I’m delighted to be here.
“I’ve played at Tynecastle a few times with Motherwell. I remember it being quite daunting to play here, the crowd are right on you and I remember thinking when I walked out the tunnel that it would be amazing to play for a club like this.
“I’m absolutely delighted I’ve got the chance to represent this club and hopefully there’s a good season to come.
“The gaffer told me to come in and play my normal game. I’ll look to get it out wide, beat a few people and into the box. We’ve got good players here so there’s no reason why we can’t do well this year. “
