Step into Health – Have a Little Less and Feel a Lot Better
01 December 2025Heart of Midlothian is delighted to announce a fun new health initiative to support men and women over the age of 50.
As we get older, our bodies can be more prone to illness, so it’s important to build in new routines to keep healthy and to understand the impact that lifestyle can have on our overall wellbeing.
Step into Health is a fun, social and life-changing 12-week *free* course designed to support over 50s, for men & women, that combines the enjoyment of walking football or walking netball with easy, practical guidance to help you drink a little less and feel a lot better. Don’t worry if you’ve not played since your schooldays, our sessions are designed to ease you back into being a bit more active and are suitable for all levels of fitness. We are delighted that Netball Scotland will be partnering with us throughout and we look forward to offering these new sessions in what is a rapidly growing sport for over 50s.
Each week, you’ll enjoy gentle, inclusive exercise, learn simple ways to boost your wellbeing, and get friendly support to make small lifestyle changes that really last. No pressure, no lectures – just movement, fun, and proven tips from our partners at Drinkaware to help you feel healthier, sleep better, and have more energy. We will keep track of the changes you are making and show you how drinking just a little less can have a big impact on your overall wellbeing.
Join us in the New Year to move more, connect more, and live better – one small step at a time. The first course will begin in January 2026, with more taking place throughout the year.
