Robbie: We weren’t at it

Hearts hit both the post and the crossbar but were unable to find the back of the net on what was a frustrating afternoon.

“I’m very disappointed,” Neilson said. “I thought the performance was very poor. It was probably the worst we’ve played for some time.

“We’ve built ourselves on consistency and levels of performance, but today we just weren’t at it. We started the game alright, but we passed the ball for the sake of passing at times, which was disappointing, and it wasn’t good enough.

“It’s hard to put your finger on these things at times. We started overplaying a wee bit and after going in 1-0 down at half-time, we come out for the second half, and we concede in the first 15 seconds.

“We’ve got to be better in those moments because that gave us a mountain to climb. We now need to work hard to get ourselves back to the levels we’ve been at. There is a reason we are sitting third in the league and today certainly wasn’t a display of that.

“So, we need to get back to what we’re good at which is being aggressive, passing forward, and having that energy because we didn’t see it today."
