Craig Levein believes the rapport between the fans and the players is paying dividends on the pitch.
Hearts brushed aside Dundee at Dens Park last night, backed by nearly 2,000 supporters.
The Jambos raced into a two-goal lead inside the opening quarter of an hour thanks to goals from Ollie Bozanic and Steven Naismith, with Steven MacLean adding the icing to the cake less than 60 seconds into the restart.
The manager praised the fans for their constant backing and revealed just how much is means to his players.
“It’s been a fantastic start and all credit to the players,” he said. “The good thing for me just now is that there is a great connection between the players and the supporters.
“I’m grateful that so many Hearts fans made the effort to come up and support us last night because they were right behind us from the first whistle and right to the end.
“I think you could see how appreciative the boys were of their support.
“That’s good just now and that helps us.”
