Josh McPake and James Wilson have been called-up to the senior Scotland squad for the upcoming international break.
It’s new boss Sébastien Pocognoli’s first squad announcement and he has selected the Hearts duo for the upcoming Nations League matches against Slovenia, Switzerland and North Macedonia.
It’s a first senior call-up for McPake, who has started his Hearts career in fine form, providing four assists and two goals, including a stunner in the Edinburgh Derby at the beginning of the month.
As for Wilson, he’s netted four goals in his last six games and will be looking to pick up his third Scotland cap, after featuring against Greece, in March 2025, when he became the youngest player to ever feature for Scotland.
Scotland head to Ljubljana on Saturday, 26th September, to take on Slovenia, before hosting Switzerland at Hampden, three days later. It’s then off to Skopje, to take on North Macedonia, on Saturday, 3rd October, before the return fixture against Slovenia on Tuesday, 6th October.
