The 20-year-old midfielder returns to Tynecastle after a successful loan spell in League One, featuring 38 times for Queen's Park last season as the Spiders clinched promotion to the Championship via the play offs.

An already busy summer will also see Connor in the fold for the Scotland Under-21s squad, as the Young Scots gear up for the next stage of their Euro qualifying campaign with away matches against Belgium and Denmark pencilled in for early June.

Speaking to heartsfc.co.uk after penning his new deal, Connor said: "I'm delighted to get this signed. I had a really enjoyable time with Queen's Park last season getting the club promoted, and I'm excited to kick on now for Hearts."

Manager Robbie Neilson added: "We're very happy to get Connor tied down. He had a really impressive loan at Queen's Park, being part of a successful team that made it to the Championship.

"Connor's a great prospect and that experience will have been so beneficial to his development. It's another piece of the puzzle as we continue building for the new season."
