The Club is delighted to confirm the backroom team for women's head coach Andy Thomson.
Nathan Wallace and Lauren Johnstone join as Assistant Coaches, with Derek Gaston joining as our new goalkeeping coach.
Wallace arrives having spent time at Motherwell, St Mirren, Kilmarnock, Rangers and the Scottish FA, in various coaching roles. Having also spent time coaching within the schools setup. Nathan has a wide range of experience, having coached in various roles, at different levels and age groups.
Johnstone also brings a wealth of experience to the club, having spent over eight years in the Kilmarnock Academy, before making the switch to Ayr United, to lead their Women’s Development Team.
A move to Cambusdoon followed, where Johnstone has spent the previous two seasons. A promotion to League One was achieved in her first season at the club, before a top-six finish in the following season.
As for Gaston, he may be a name that is more familiar to the Jambos, amassing over 600 appearances in professional football, Derek still plays for East Fife in Scottish League One.
Gaston’s coaching career began within the Kilmarnock Academy, where he spent three years before moving to Rangers in 2022, working in both the boys’ and girls’ academies, as well as working with the women’s first team.
