
Vilão joins Jambos
10 July 2025The club is pleased to announce the arrival of goalkeeper Carolina Vilão on a deal until 2027.
The 24-year-old stopper joins the club having spent last season in the A League with Wellington Phoenix. Vilão featured on 23 occasions for the Phoenix last season, keeping five clean sheets in the process.
Prior to her spell down under, Vilão gained valuable experience at Benfica, where she featured in the Women’s Champions League and contributed to multiple domestic title-winning campaigns,
As well as her experience at club level, Vilao has represented her native Portugal at U19s and U23s level.
Now the ‘keeper heads to the capital to join Eva Olid’s ahead of the 25/26 SWPL campaign.

“Carolina is a goalkeeper with a really unique profile, and that’s exactly what we were looking for. She’s calm, confident with the ball at her feet, and brings a different dimension to how we want to play. We’ve followed her performances closely and feel she’s a great fit for the team and the direction we’re going in. I’m really pleased to welcome her to the club."
