Toby: Time to bounce back

02 March 2023

The men in maroon were on a ten-game unbeaten run before Wednesday’s match and Sibbick explained that all the focus is now on starting a new unbeaten stretch.

“We’re still pretty positive,” he said. “Obviously we didn’t get the result or the performance that we wanted on Wednesday, but we were on a ten-game unbeaten run before that, so we are now looking to start another run like that and bridge the gap to fourth place and tomorrow is another opportunity to do that.

“We know we have the quality in this squad to play aggressive and be on the front foot. We have done that plenty of times this season, so now we want to go out and get three points on Saturday.

“United gave us a tough game before Christmas. They are a physical team. They have a certain way of playing and you have to respect that.

“No game in this league is easy. Every team will give you a different threat. So, we need to set up how we feel is right for the game. Expect every sort of game plan, put on a performance, and hopefully get the three points.”
