Stephen: Hearts' "stature" key

The 24-year-old striker arrives in Gorgie on a season-long loan from Wigan Athletic, with the big marksman revealing that a chat with former Aberdeen 'skipper Shinnie was helpful in clueing him up on the challenge of Scottish football. 

 "Yeah, it's a fantastic feeling to be here," he told Hearts TV. "I spoke to Graeme Shinnie about the league in general. He said the facilities were second to none and of a Premier League standard.

"The gaffer's shown me around and it's incredible. The fans have sold out season tickets with a big number on the waiting list. You really get a feel for the stature of the club - it's great to be here and I can't wait to get started."

And how would our new man describe himself in his own words?

"I like to think of myself as a goalscorer," he added. "In a one-v-one, I'll always try to beat my man. I've got a bit of pace and I'm two footed as well. 

"I'll try to bring a winning mentality, competitive edge, and help the team as much as I can."
