Shona Cowan has today joined Partick Thistle on loan until the end of the season.
The defender, who is comfortable both in the middle and on the right-hand side of defence is a hugely popular character within the squad and has a bright future in football.
Shona has been with the club since 2013 and during her time in maroon, has represented the club at under-13's, 15's and 19's level before becoming a regular member in the Women’s matchday squad.
The Scotland youth internationalist will now join Brian Graham’s side as she looks to secure regular game time to continue her development as a player, before returning to the Jambos in the summer.
Speaking to the Offical Hearts Website, manager Eva Olid said:
“At 19 years-old, Shona needs game time to help her progress to the next level. She has shown she has quality to perform at this level but more importantly, she has the right attitude.
“This is an excellent opportunity for Shona to join a fellow SWPL side and play on a more regular basis. I am sure she will put this opportunity to good use and return to us in the summer having benefitted from the experience."
