Schwolow previews Paisley trip
03 February 2026Alexander Schwolow believes a combination of a sold-out away end and the Jambos’ talented squad can carry the men in maroon to a victory in Paisley on Tuesday night.
It’s a quick turnaround from Saturday’s 3-0 victory at Tannadice and the stopper admits recovery is vital to allow Hearts the best chance of picking up all three points against the Buddies.
Speaking to Hearts TV, the German said:
“It will be a tough game, like always. St Mirren is a difficult team to play against. I remember our last game at their stadium, which was not easy. So, we have to recover quickly, and we have to be in good shape to be in the best position.
“It's perfect [to have a big squad]. You have so many players. It's a good opportunity as well to use the whole strength of the squad, so that other players can show their strengths and have the possibility to play.”
When asked about the fans backing at Tannadice and another sold-out away end in Paisley, he added:
“Unbelievable. It felt like a home game [against Dundee United]. Unreal. You can barely hear the home fans. They carry us. It's amazing. I love to play at Tynecastle, but I also love to play away, it's amazing.”
