Robbie wants team response

The Jambos host United tomorrow afternoon in matchday 25 of the cinch Premiership, following Wednesday night's defeat to Rangers which ended the Jam Tarts' impressive 10-game unbeaten run.

Although massively disappointed with that result, the manager knows the demands of being at a club like Hearts means that the focus immediately shifts to the next opportunity to pick up all three points.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, he said: “There will be (a response tomorrow). The players have been exceptional the whole season. We’ve had European football, cup football we’ve had to play in.

“We’ve had a blip on Wednesday night and it was disappointing but we have to put it to bed quickly and we have to make sure we turn up tomorrow.

“We had 10 games undefeated which was exceptional for us. We lost the game on Wednesday night and we’ve got to move forward.

“The challenge being at Hearts or any big club is to just win the next game. That’s it. You win the next game and then you’ve got a cup game, and you need to win that, and the next game after that you need to win that.

“We don’t look too far ahead. We’ve had a really good period. We need to make sure we don’t get away from that and just focus solely on one performance. From our perspective it’s all about us tomorrow.”
