Hearts women

Parker-Smith departs

23 May 2025

We can confirm that after six years at the club, Charlotte Parker-Smith will leave Hearts this summer.

The shot stopper has experienced the full Hearts Women transition and has been a key figure in the transformation of the side, ever since manager Eva Olid arrived at the club back in 2021.

An ever present as the women in maroon reached the Scottish Cup Final for the first time in the club’s history as well as achieving their highest ever league finish in season 23/24.

Charlotte now departs the club to explore pastures new and we thank her for her efforts in a Hearts shirt and wish her all the very best for the future.

Speaking to the Official Hearts Website, manager Eva Olid said:

"Charlotte has been in this project from day one. She has lived the transition, and although the team was not professional for all of her time with us, she has always set an example with her attitude.

"She is an amazing goalkeeper, but as a person, Charlotte is even more incredible. Her wish was to explore new experiences and after all these years with the club, I wish her nothing but success and the very best of luck in the future."

Charlotte Parker-Smith added:

"I am sad to be departing the club after over 6 years but I feel it is a good time to explore new opportunities. In my time at the club I have progressed from being an amateur player, playing university football and in the SWPL2 to being a professional player at one of the top teams in the country.

"My thanks go to all the different coaching staff and teammates that I have worked and shared the pitch with over the years, as well as the fans who support us.

"Many young girls and boys who watch us play at Oriam and Tynecastle have dreams of representing this club and to have done this many times over the past years wearing the number 1 on my back has been a privilege.

"I am proud of my journey and my time at the club and I hope I have left the shirt in a good place for the generations of girls who come to fill it in the future."
