Oisin previews the Edinburgh Derby
09 February 2026Oisin McEntee admits that while Hearts are looking to bounce back from defeat at St Mirren, the Edinburgh Derby will ‘take care of itself’.
The midfielder, who arrived in the summer, has already experienced the highs and lows of the fixture but is determined to make sure Hearts come out on top on Tuesday night.
Speaking to the media, McEntee said:
“It's obviously going to be a really tough game. It's a derby, it's a huge game in the city, huge game for us, huge game for Hibs. It's going to take care of itself.
“It's brilliant when you do win it. It was a tough day when we went there and lost. That's the nature of a derby, isn't it? Everyone wants to win, everyone in the city. There's obviously two sides to it, so you just want to come out on the right side of it.
“It's been a brilliant season so far. You're going to get setbacks; teams are going to get setbacks. It's just how we bounce back from them. We haven't had many losses, so we just need to really get working in the training ground now until the game.”
