Nearly 250,000 fans through Tynecastle turnstiles this season
01 June 2023Monday’s Edinburgh derby, in which the Jambos beat city rivals Hibs 3-0, saw a crowd of 18,890 in Gorgie, taking the total amount of supporters who have entered Tynecastle this campaign to 243,337.
Such is the demand to see the third-placed boys in maroon, the club’s waiting list for season tickets now holds 2,500 names, on top of the record-breaking 15,500 seats that were snapped up in a matter of weeks at the start of the season.
The club’s ticket office staff have been working diligently to maintain the season ticket waiting list and offer seats as they become available to those on the list by order of date joined. Ticket office staff will continue this practice, however those on the list should note that we cannot guarantee that everyone will be accommodated with seats next season, post the renewal window for existing season ticket holders. All names awaiting season tickets will be kept on the list and advised as and when seats become available.
Speaking to the Official Hearts Website, manager Robbie Neilson praised the fans for their relentless backing.
He said: “The support we continue to enjoy is nothing short of incredible. We’ve had a full house for every home game and thousands of Jambos following us on the road across Scotland and Europe.
“To have 2,500 people on our Season Ticket waiting list, on top of the 15,500 already sold, is absolutely phenomenal. It gives the boys such a lift and it’s also a big selling point when it comes to recruiting new players to the club.
“I can’t thank the supporters enough for their backing as we look to go from strength to strength in the second half of the season.”
