Match Report: University of Stirling 0-19 Hearts Women

15 January 2026

Hearts Women ran riot in the Scottish Cup as they demolished the University of Stirling 19–0 to book their place in the quarter-finals on Wednesday night.

The Jambos were already out of sight by the interval, racing into an 11–0 lead in a devastating first-half display, before piling on eight more after the break.

Eva Olid made five changes from the narrow defeat to Glasgow City, with Carolina Vilao, Carly Girasoli, Jenna Slattery, Monica Forsyth and Bayley Hutchison all returning to the starting XI.

Hearts were ahead inside five minutes when Danique Ypema strode forward from defence and slipped a low effort beneath Isabella Smart to open the scoring. Three minutes later Carly Johns announced her intent, spotting the Stirling keeper off her line and floated an audacious lob in from distance.

Lauren Wade made it three with a curled strike from the edge of the box before Johns struck twice in six minutes — first with a sharp turn and finish, then powering in a header from Forsyth’s inviting cross.

The goals kept coming. Wade fired home from close range, Forsyth added one of her own after finding space in the box, and Johns completed a first-half hat-trick with a superb curling finish. Bayley Hutchison followed up from Georgia Timms’ effort off the bar to make it nine, before Forsyth struck again from range for 10-0.

Just before the break, Wade burst down the left and squared it to for Sade Adamolekun to sweep in at the near post, making it 11 before half-time.

Half-time: Stirling Uni 0–11 Hearts

Hearts showed no mercy after the restart. Georgia Timms coolly slotted in the 12th before delicately dinking the keeper a minute later for 13-0.

15-year-old Toni Campbell grabbed her first goal for the Hearts first team with a poacher’s finish to make it 14-0, before Wade completed her hat-trick with a composed left-footed strike.

Substitute Olivia Chomczuk teed up Johns for her fifth of the night, a thunderous finish into the top left corner, before Jenna Slattery curled home a great effort from the edge of the area.

New signing Ellen Dolan made an instant impact, scoring on her Hearts debut to make it 18 with a composed finish into the bottom left corner, and Campbell rounded off the rout late on with her second of the night from close range.

A relentless and ruthless attacking display sends Hearts Women into the Scottish Cup quarter-finals, where they will face Celtic at Oriam on Sunday 15 February.
