Match Report: Motherwell Women 0-3 Hearts
14 December 2025Hearts Women secured a massive three points on the road as they defeated Motherwell 3-0 at K-Park on Sunday.
The women in maroon were up 2-0 at half-time thanks to a header from Georgia Timms and an OG from Lily Boyce. Jenna Slattery put the game to bed late on as Hearts went second in the Scottish Power Women’s Premier League.
Eva Olid made four changes from the 4-0 win against The Spartans in the Scottish Cup.
Rachael Johnstone started in between the sticks over Carolina Vilao, Lizzie Waldie replaced Erin Husband in defence, Jess Husband came in for Kayla Jardine at wing back, and Carly Johns was preferred to Bayley Hutchison in attack.
It was a cagey opening to the match with very few clear cut chances for either side.
But the women in maroon struck first. Lauren Wade sent in a brilliant cross from the left and Georgia Timms headed home past Rebecca Cameron from close range for 1-0.
The striker could have made it a brace not long after as her looping header nearly went under the bar but it was tipped over by Cameron.
The Jam Tarts doubled their advantage on 24 minutes. Jenna Slattery played a short corner to Sade Adamolekun who whipped in a dangerous ball into the box and Carla Boyce knocked the ball into her own net from close range for two.
Half-time: Motherwell 0-2 Hearts
It was a quick fire start to the second half for Hearts.
Timms sprinted down the left flank and played Johns into the box. The striker hit a low effort which was saved by Cameron, Timms followed up on the rebound but blazed her strike over the bar.
On 64 minutes, skipper Georgia Hunter floated a great ball over the top to find substitute Bayley Hutchison in the box. The attacker turned well to get away from her marker, but curled one wide of the left hand post.
Hearts put the game to bed on 83 minutes. Motherwell failed to clear their lines and it came to Jenna Slattery in the box who hit a powerful strike into the bottom left corner.
Ultimately, it was a comfortable afternoon for Hearts despite the blustery conditions at K-Park as they went on to claim all three points.
