Match Report: Hearts Women 6-0 Aberdeen
08 February 2026Hearts Women defeated Aberdeen 6-0 in the Scottish Power Women’s Premier League at Oriam on Sunday.
Two goals a piece for Georgia Timms and Jenna Slattery plus second-half strikes from Carly Johns and Kayla Jardine helped the Jambos record their third league win on the bounce.
Eva Olid made four changes from the 7-1 away win over Montrose last time out.
Rachael Johnstone replaced Carolina Vilao in between the sticks, Eilidh Shore returned to the starting eleven in place of Georgia Hunter, Lauren Wade was preferred to Kayla Jardine and Ellen Dolan came in for Sade Adamolekun.
Hearts came flying out the traps through striker Georgia Timms who bombed down the left and weaved her way into the box before testing Katie Cox with an early effort, which was well held by the Aberdeen goalkeeper.
Lauren Wade had a decent opportunity to open the scoring with a cut-back from Jenna Slattery, but her left footed effort was a comfortable one for
Georgia Timms fired the Jambos ahead in the 18th minute. Jenna Slattery floated her corner to the back post and Timms arrived to power her header past Cox for 1-0.
Timms made it a brace for herself on 28 minutes after Slattery was chopped down in the box and the referee pointed to the spot. She stepped up and calmly dispatched her spot kick into the bottom right corner for 2-0.
Slattery then switched from provider to goalscorer in the 43rd minute. The midfielder picked up possession just inside the box and unleashed an unbelievable strike on her left foot which swerved into the top left corner for three.

In identical fashion to the start of the match, Timms was sent sprinting in behind the Aberdeen backline. She cut on to her right foot but her strike went wide of the target.
The women in maroon made it four just after the hour mark. Wade did brilliantly down the left and sent in a low cross for Johns who had her initial effort saved by Cox, but then flicked it home into the back of the net for 4-0.
On 76 minutes, Jess Husband drove through midfield and played a great through ball to substitute Kayla Jardine who showed fantastic composure to lift the ball into the back of the net for 5-0.
Slattery put the game to bed once and for all as she grabbed her second of the game. Johns fed it through to Slattery who calmly took it around Cox and slotted home into the bottom left corner for six.
In the end, it was a well deserved victory for Hearts who will now turn their attention to the Scottish Cup quarter-final as they host Celtic next Sunday at Oriam. Kick-off at 3pm.
