Match Report: Hearts Women 3-2 Rangers

15 March 2026

Two goals from Bayley Hutchison secured a huge 3-2 win for Hearts Women against Rangers in their first post-split match at Oriam on Sunday.

Georgia Timms handed Hearts the lead inside the first 10 minutes, before a quick reply from Katie Wilkinson.

But a second-half brace from Hutchison helped Hearts get over the line and move up to second in the Scottish Power Women’s Premier League.

Eva Olid made five changes from the 5-3 defeat against Celtic last time out.

Erin Husband, Lauren Wade, Sade Adamolekun and Bayley Hutchison returned to the starting eleven as Georgia Hunter, Eilidh Shore, Kayla Jardine, Jenna Slattery and Carly Johns dropped out.

It was a proud moment for Maddie Fulton who made her full debut for Hearts Women in the middle of the park, after a lengthy period out with injury.

It was a blistering start to proceedings with two early goals from each side.

Hearts took the lead in the 7th minute as Carly Girasoli whipped in a fantastic cross from the right and Georgia Timms arrived to head past Fife to make it 1-0.

Straight up the other end, Mia Mcaulay whipped in a low cross from the left and Katie Wilkinson fired home from six yards into the bottom corner.

The Jambos looked to get back on the attack following the leveller. Georgia Timms drove down the left, cut on to her right and hit a curled strike which went wide of the target.

Half-time: Hearts 1-1 Rangers

The women in maroon looked to control proceedings in the second 45 and get themselves back in front.

On 57 minutes, they did just that. Sade Adamolekun had her effort denied by Fife before Hutchison followed in on the rebound to smash it home from close range for 2-1.

Hutchison hit Rangers again for her second of the afternoon in the 65th minute. Adamolekun swung in the corner from the right and the striker planted her header into the far corner for 3-1.

The visitors pulled a goal back on 82 minutes as Laura Berry fired home from a few yards out to make it a nervy ending to the match.

But Hearts were resolute defensively and kept control, as they held on to secure all three points at home.
