Match Report: Hearts B 2-1 Bo'ness United

14 February 2026

Hearts B made it back-to-back wins in the Lowland League as they defeated Bo’ness United 2-1 at home on Friday night.

It was a proud moment for both Stanley Wilson and Jaedon Donkor who both scored their first Lowland League goals for the B Team to put Hearts 2-0 up at the break.

Lucas Fyfe halved the deficit in the second 45 but the Wee Jambos got themselves over the line to secure a hard-fought three points in league action.

The visitors got the match underway in the freezing conditions in Pilton.

Fitzpatrick tested Jack Lyon in the opening minute with a strike from the edge of the area, but it was a comfortable take for the Hearts goalkeeper.

The B.U’s continued their early pressure as a volley from Mitchell in the box flashed wide of the target.

Despite that bright start from the visitors, it was Hearts who struck first in the 10th minute. Liam Walker threaded a perfectly weighted pass into the path of Owen Muirhead, who surged into the box before squaring for Donkor to arrive and emphatically fire into the bottom-left corner.

The hosts doubled their advantage on 37 minutes. Wilson drove powerfully into the area, shrugged off his marker with strength and determination, and coolly slotted beneath Fleming to cap a fine individual effort and put Hearts firmly in control at the break.

Half-time: Hearts 2-0 Bo’ness United

The Wee Jambos looked to continue their momentum in the second 45.

Striker Jayden Mathie was played through on goal and looked to find the bottom corner with his effort, but he was denied by Fleming.

The B.U’s were a much improved side in the second 45 and looked to ask questions of the Hearts defence at every opportunity.

They halved the deficit on the hour mark. Kieran Mitchell’s low strike was saved initially by Lyon, but Lucas Fyfe followed in to tap it in for 2-1.

With 20 to go, substitute Euan Banks picked up possession at the edge of the box and struck a low drive on his right foot, but his effort went narrowly wide of the target.

The visitors continued to put the Wee Jambos under the kosh with countless crosses fired into the box, but the defensive pairing of Alfie Osborne and Lucas Smith were pivotal as they made several headed clearances and did brilliantly to thwart Bo’ness in attack.

After another impressive display against Linlithgow Rose last week, Jack Lyon helped Hearts get over the line yet again with several key saves late on as the Wee Jambos secured the three points in Pilton.
