Match Report: Heart of Midlothian 1-0 Hibernian
10 February 2026Heart of Midlothian struck late to sink Hibs 1-0 at Tynecastle Park in the third Edinburgh derby of the season.
Tomas Magnusson's winner, courtesy of a fantastic delivery from Harry Milne, sparked bedlam in Gorgie and saw Derek McInnes' men open up a six point gap at the William Hill Premiership summit.
Across a nervy 90 minutes, both sides carved out chances - but the Jambos' spirit and determination across the ninety minutes won out as the men in maroon savoured a big three points.
Islam Chesnokov went close right before the first-half's conclusion with Hearts' best chance going astray over the crossbar from a tight angle under pressure from the Hibs defence.
At the other end, Martin Boyle squandered for Hibs after a good delivery from Nicky Cadden - exemplifying the lack of chances at both ends of the pitch for both sides.
With another card of fixtures tomorrow, the men in maroon can sit back and enjoy their night's work.
