Tale Of The Tape

Managed by David McNeil, with assistance from Lee Wallace and Angus Beith, the Wee Jambos earned a bye to the first and second rounds of this year's Youth Cup after reaching R4 of last season's competition: where they exited after a 3-0 defeat to St. Mirren.

This year, Hearts started their cup journey with a bang; sweeping aside Ross County 6-0 away from home, with substitute Callen Robb netting a second half hat-trick to book progression to the fourth round.

McNeil's side earned another comfortable victory in Round Four, defeating Bonnyrigg Rose 3-0 at King's Park in Dalkeith courtesy of a quickfire brace from Liam Walker in the first-half before Sam Dickov wrapped up the scoring in the second.

Hibs, managed by Darren McGregor & Guilaume Beuzelin, started their cup campaign with a 6-0 victory at home to Inverurie Loco Works before edging out Partick Thistle away from home with a 2-1 win in Round Four.
