Magnusson enjoying life at Hearts
27 February 2026Tómas Magnusson says the character and bond in the Hearts dressing room has been the key to bouncing back from any setbacks suffered this season.
The men in maroon got back to winning ways with last weekend’s victory over Falkirk, extending their lead at the Premiership summit in the process and while acknowledging results elsewhere, Magnusson admits they mean nothing if Hearts don’t pick up three points.
Speaking to the media at the pre-match press conference, Magnusson said: “It was really important [to bounce back] and get another three points. Obviously, that's the most important thing now, towards the end of the season. The character in the squad is really good.
“Everyone's mates and the dressing room was brilliant, and that shows on the pitch. It was a setback against the Rangers, but we were able to get a win after that, and we've done that throughout the season when we've had setbacks, and once again we were just able to get the win afterwards.”
“You do check wherever you play, you do check how other teams are doing, and the results on Sunday, but they don't mean anything if we don't win on Saturday, so we obviously do check, but it's just all about us.”
