22 December 2023Alan Forrest hopes Hearts can keep their good form rolling as the men in maroon continue through the hectic festive schedule.
The winger played a key role as the Jambos overcame Celtic in a memorable win at Parkhead last weekend, with the Ayrshire native targeting another three points when St. Mirren come to town on Saturday.
“It gave us all a lift,” he told the press ahead of the game. “Especially after the Aberdeen game which wasn’t a good day for us. It was important for us to win and bounce back. We went about and trained the right way and got a good result.
“We’re going into an important period now so it’s important we kick on. The next four are all winnable games for us. They’ve had a really good start to the season and not where they are on luck. They’re halfway through the season and there on merit so we know it’s going to be tough and how important it will be to be on our game.
“Coming from Livingston, I was delighted to get the move. I’m into my second season now so it’s all about kicking on and moving forward from what you’ve done in the previous year. You always want that as a player, you want to keep getting better and improving.”
