Hill: I’m loving life at Hearts

The defender has become a real fans favourite since moving north of the border and the 21-year-old believes he has already learned so much since arriving at Tynecastle.

“It’s been really good so far,” he said when asked about life at Hearts.

“The team around me has been amazing. It’s been really easy for me to settle in and that helps me try to produce my best stuff on the pitch.

“My game and my character are developing massively here. When you get that consistency in a team you gain that maturity.

“Robert Snodgrass in particular has really helped me and taken me under his wing. He will encourage me in games, but then when I’ve done something wrong, he will also tell me that too.

“Toby Sibbick and I are really young. We’ve been really talking a lot to each other during games about how we can get better, then you have someone like Stephen Kingsley, who has that experience of playing in the English league already.

“Our whole backline is constantly learning and constantly wanting to learn. That is why we’re keeping clean sheets. I’ve learned so much here and the season isn’t done yet, so I can’t wait to learn more."
