Hearts Heritage 'Live Transcribathon' Event
11 September 2025Hearts Heritage are celebrating National Sporting Heritage Day this year, by holding a 'Live Transcribathon' event at the Hearts Museum on Thursday 2 October 2025.
This year's Sporting Heritage Day theme is ‘Collections at Risk’ and the team at the Museum are looking for keen volunteers to come and help transcribe the complete set of minutes from the earliest Club minute books spanning 1896 to 1898.
These earliest of minutes are part of an ‘at risk’ paper records collection held at Hearts Museum, and with help from keen Jambo’s we can access digitised copies of these minutes and reveal what Club Directors were discussing during the earliest years of Hearts!
The event is free to attend and will be held at the Hearts Museum from 6pm – 9pm on Thursday 2 October. Spaces can be booked here.
The Museum team will supply all materials and advice to help you get stuck in and transcribe – no experience necessary; we will also supply refreshments on the night too!
