Hearts Women and Hibernian Women are pleased to announce that the two post-split Edinburgh Derbies will take place on Friday night's at Oriam and Meadowbank respectively.
The decision was made with the aim of enhancing the overall experience for players and fans alike. By shifting the matches from Sunday to Friday evenings, supporters will have the opportunity to kick-start their weekends with SWPL action.
This change in schedule also allows for greater attendance, as fans can now plan their weekends around these much-anticipated clashes.
With a rich history and a passionate fan base, the Edinburgh Derbies have always been a highlight of the SWPL season. Following on from two successful fixtures at Tynecastle and Easter Road earlier in the 23/24 season with over 11,500 fans attending, both clubs are now keen to explore the option of Friday night football.
