Fraser pens first professional contract
23 July 2025We are delighted to announce that academy prospect Kate Fraser has signed her first professional contract with the club.
The central defender impressed last season while on loan at Spartans, gaining valuable SWPL experience and the Academy graduate has now put pen to paper on a professional contract with the women in maroon.
In order to further her development, Kate will join Partick Thistle on loan for season 25.26 and speaking to the Official Hearts Website about the news, manager Eva Olid said:
"Kate showed real quality during her loan at Spartans last season. As a young centre back, she handled the demands of senior football really well and stood out in a competitive environment. She’s come through our academy and continues to show what’s possible with hard work and the right attitude. We’re looking forward to seeing her take the next step in her development."
Women’s head of recruitment Sean Burt added:
"Kate’s loan last season was an important step in her development. She faced some real challenges and showed she could adapt and perform at that level. It’s a great example of how our academy pathway prepares players for senior football, and we believe she has plenty of potential to keep building on."
