Monica Forsyth has signed a contract extension until the summer of 2027.
The versatile midfielder has now spent five-and-a-half-years at the club, having initially joined on a short-term loan deal from Celtic, before signing on a permanent contract in 2021.
Comfortable in midfield or at wing back, Forsyth has featured over 100 times for the club during the previous five seasons, racking up three goals and two assists from 26 matches in this campaign.
A Scotland youth internationalist at U16s, U17s, U19s and now U23s, Forsyth has been a key player for a squad that has broken all sorts of records in previous years. A first Scottish Cup Final at the national stadium, a record points tally, Champions League football for the first time and much more.
Further history could be just around the corner for Forsyth and co, with the Jambos sitting top of the SWPL ahead of the final match of the league season and she’s given her teammates a pre-match boost, by putting pen to paper on a deal to remain in maroon for a further 12 months.
