Derek previews Kilmarnock (H)

02 December 2025

Derek McInnes is hoping Hearts can get back to winning ways this Wednesday as they welcome Kilmarnock to Gorgie.

The men in maroon were held to a goalless draw at Fir Park at the weekend, but the head coach was content with the clean sheet and the point but insists it’s crucial Hearts continue to be strong at home.

Speaking to Hearts TV, he said:

“I feel as though we'll pick the bones out of this result and see what we can do better. It's another point where we're on the road, which is decent shooting. But as long as you take care of your home games and hopefully, we can do that on Wednesday.

“They've got a lot of good players at Kilmarnock. They've got a good attacking threat. They've obviously struggled to keep clean sheets of late and struggled to perform, but that can easily turn.

“They've got a lot of good players there and we need to be mindful of the fact that we've got to get back to what we do, regardless of who turns up, regardless of what Kilmarnock turn up. We've got to try and get back to what we want to do.”
