Club Awarded European Club Association Accolade

Heart of Midlothian is delighted to have won the European Club Association Award for support of Women’s Football.

The award highlights the significant progress that Hearts has made in the past 2 seasons and recognises the club’s pioneering commitment to levelling the playing field for women in sport and tech. 

The partnership, that sees Scotland Women in Technology being sported on the front of the women's shirt, is made possible by a great group of tech companies who are helping to address the gender imbalance in their industry by supporting our campaigns and offering support for women footballers seeking dual careers alongside their elite playing journey. Girls see their heroes on the pitch advocating careers in tech and this creates aspiration and normalises their involvement in an area that so many feel might not be for them.

Congratulations to our women players and girls coming through the academy. You are achieving great things. 

A special mention too for the passion, inspiration and leadership of Eva Olid who has take the team from its promotion to the SWP1 to our current 4th place.
