Celebrating Hearts’ Keepers: Book Launch of 'We're In Safe Hands'

Grant Young, all round Jambo and leading shirt collector will shortly publish a stunning new book, We’re In Safe Hands.  

We're In Safe Hands follows Grant’s first book, 51 Shirts, that  won the prestigious Sunday Times Illustrated Sports Book of the Year in 2023. 

 We’re In Safe Hands focuses on Grant’s passion for collecting goalkeeper memorabilia. 

To mark the launch, we are hosting a very special evening in the Gorgie Suite where we will hear stories of our fans’ favourites from the 1950s to the present day. 

Host, Paul Mitchell will be joined by Scotland’s No. 1, Craig Gordon, hero of our 5-1 triumph against Hibs, Jamie McDonald and the irrepressible Henry Smith.  The “gaffer” Jim Jefferies will share stories of his playing days with the phenomenon that was Jim Cruikshank and Gordon Marshall junior will be on hand to share stories of his father who played with Hearts during the golden league-winning era of the late 50s.   

Paul Mitchell will lead the conversation and will also be joined by Grant Young, who will show off some of the shirts that appear in the book. 

We’re In Safe Hands will go on sale in the Clubstore at the end of September with an RRP of £35. 

Jambos can get their hands on the book early at the launch event, be entertained by their heroes and enjoy a pie and a pint for £40 (plus booking fee). Fans are encouraged to snap up this offer early.
