Burt departs for Ipswich

12 January 2026

The club can confirm that Women’s Head of Recruitment Sean Burt has departed for an exciting new role at Ipswich Town.

Sean joined the club in October 2021, initially as assistant to manager Eva Olid, before moving into a brand-new role, as Women’s Head of Recruitment in November 2023.

An integral part in the club’s transition from an amateur side to operating at a full-time level, Sean now departs to explore pastures new, and we all wish him all the very best in his new role.

Speaking to the Official Hearts Website, manager Eva Olid said:

“Over the last four years, Sean has played a key role in our transition from an amateur team to a professional side. Having started off as my assistant, he moved into a brand-new role leading our recruitment, which was the starting point of a new era for the club and support for the women’s team.

“The role that Sean has played is clear and for that, everyone at the club I’m sure will thank him for all of his hard work, but I’d like to place on my record my personal thanks to Sean and wish him all the very best at Ipswich Town.”
