Big Hearts Day 2026

This Saturday, as Hearts welcome Falkirk to Gorgie, we are encouraging fans to join us in celebrating the vital work of the Club charity Big Hearts, as we mark our 10th annual Big Hearts Day.

Ten years, one big heart

Matchday means more than football. It’s the anticipation, the travel to Tynecastle Park, the smell of the distillery and the noise of the traffic on Gorgie road. It’s meeting up with pals in their maroon scarves, and catching up with your season ticket ‘neighbours’ in the stand. It’s about what we’re achieving now and the hard road that led us to it. Our history. Our connections. Our community. Our one big heart.

In February 2016, Big Hearts made an open call to Heart of Midlothian supporters: could they back the Club charity to support adults and children who need our help most, through shared acts of kindness? From award-winning volunteering during the pandemic to bringing hundreds of disadvantaged families to watch Hearts at Hampden, the past decade has shown what community means to all associated with Big Hearts. 

This Saturday, for the 10th Big Hearts Day, we’re turning that one big heart into pride for our shared achievements. A celebration of hope, kindness and resilience in coming together to support others most in need. The badge, the fans, the charity: ten years, one big heart.

How to support the charity

Fans who would like to help Big Hearts continue their vital work are invited to:

• Donate via cash or card directly to our volunteers at the game

Pre-match activities

There will be family-friendly activities hosted by Big Hearts this Saturday starting at 1.45pm until kick-off at 3pm:
- Football Penalty Drive (Foundation Plaza)
- Football Freestyler Performance (Foundation Plaza)
- Face painting (Foundation Plaza and Gorgie Concourse)
- Free Big Hearts merchandise (Wheatfield and Gorgie concourses, Foundation Plaza)
- Meet Jock the Jambo (Foundation Plaza)

Charity staff and volunteers will be on hand across the Stadium and hospitality lounges to share information about Big Hearts' work and collect donations (card accepted, cash welcome).
