Adamolekun extends Hearts stay

02 May 2024

The club are delighted to announce the news that Olufolasade (Sade) Adamolekun has signed a new contract to remain at the club until the summer of 2026.

Sade joined the club last summer from the University of Southern California a top-25 rated University in the States, where she made 42 appearances.

A Jamaican internationalist, Sade continues to adjust to the frantic nature of Scottish football but has played a key part in the Jambos’ successes this season.

Scoring a magnificent solo goal against top-six rivals Partick Thistle, inspiring a crucial comeback against Spartans in October by bagging a brace and scoring a Scottish Cup hat-trick against East Fife are just some of Sade's finest moments in a maroon jersey this season.

Speaking to the Official Hearts Website, Hearts Women manager Eva Olid, said:

Sade is a real talent. She is excellent in possession and is a key player for us in the final third.

“We believe she has a lot of potential still to be diStill we know we can help her to be her Best version and the best player she can be, I am looking forward to keep working with her.

Women’s Head of Recruitment, Sean Burt added:

“Sade has already made a huge impact, in what’s been her first season in professional football.

“She has quality in abundance, highlighted by some wonderful goals against Partick Thistle and a standout performance against Glasgow City.

“It is never easy transitioning away from home and family for the first time, but Sade has a great personality, and she has slotted into our group really well.

“At 23, Sade is still very young. I believe with a full pre-season under her belt in the summer, she will really kick on next season and we’re very much looking forward to seeing her progress in a maroon shirt.”

Congratulations, Sade!
