Vyan Sampson

The 26-year-old centre-back started her career by coming through the youth ranks at Charlton Athletic, before making a move to Arsenal.

A graduate of the Arsenal Ladies’ Centre of Excellence, Sampson made her competitive debut for the team against Everton in the final game of the 2014 season, helping Arsenal to a 3-1 win.

Sampson has already assembled an impressive CV, representing England at under 17s and under 19s level, featuring for West Ham United, and spending a season on loan to the London City Lionesses before returning to Charlton Athletic for season 20/21.

The Jamaican internationalist is now an integral part of the Hearts defence.

V scored her first goal for the club in a 3-0 win over Aberdeen in October 2022.
