Austrian defender Michael Steinwender joined the Jambos in January 2025.
The 24-year-old joined from Swedish top flight side IFK Värnamo on a deal until the summer of 2028 and made his debut as a substitute in the 6-0 win over Dundee in February.
The central defender would go on to make eight appearances for the men in maroon before the end of the season and scored his first goal for the club against Rangers at Tynecastle.
