Sam Nicholson was a spectator in the stands when Hearts last won the Scottish Cup and he’s now desperate to play a starring role in another cup run.
The Jambos take on Aberdeen in the pick of tomorrow’s William Hill Scottish Cup fourth round ties and the Scotland U21 winger is expecting a stern test against the Dons. Speaking to the press on Friday morning, Sam said:
“I think it’s a massive game, possibly the hardest of the season as Aberdeen beat us here back in September. The most recent match at Pittodrie was even; there were plenty of chances for both teams.
“Our last cup tie win must have been the final in 2012, so it’s been a while! It’s our chance to put that right tomorrow.
“I can remember being at the final in 2012, I was in the U20s squad at the time so I was in the stands. It was a brilliant day for the fans and the club and hopefully we can embark on another run tomorrow."
