Ross Stewart has signed a pre-contract and will join Hearts permanently next month.
The on-loan Livingston goalkeeper has agreed a two-year deal with the Jambos and will make the move to Tynecastle Park official once his contract with the Lions expires on June 10th.
26-year-old Ross initially arrived in Gorgie in August of last year on a six-month loan deal, which was subsequently extended until the end of the 2020/21 campaign.
He made his Hearts debut in a 3-1 Betfred Cup win over Raith Rovers in October and featured in a further three games.
Speaking to the Official Hearts website, manager Robbie Neilson said: “I’m delighted to get Ross on board permanently.
“He’s made a big impact in the dressing room since he came in and I know he’s a popular figure.
“Most importantly he’s a good goalkeeper who has improved every week thanks to working with Paul Gallacher and Craig Gordon.”
Sporting director Joe Savage said: “We’ve been speaking to Ross for a while and there was an eagerness on both sides to get a deal sorted.
“Sometimes it can be a tough task to get the right personnel for your goalkeeping department but in Ross we’ve got a talented keeper and guy who has just slotted in seamlessly, so this was a straightforward exercise.
“Robbie and I will continue to work hard to ensure that we bring in the right players to this club, players who will help us to make an impact in the Premiership next season."
