Jamie Walker to leave Hearts

05 August 2022

The 28-year-old moved on loan to the Bantams in January and, after scoring four goals in 19 appearances for the League Two side, has penned a permanent deal at Valley Parade.

A Hearts Academy graduate, Jamie made 240 appearances in a maroon shirt over two spells, notching 54 goals.

He leaves Tynecastle having helped the club through two of its most challenging spells, firing the Jam Tarts to the Championship title on two occasions.

Speaking to the Official Hearts Website, manager Robbie Nelson said: “I’ve worked with Jamie over a number of years and he’s always been a great professional during his time at Hearts.

“He’s made a big contribution to the club over two spells and we were all delighted for him when he broke the 50 mark for goals in maroon.

“Everyone at the club thanks Jamie for all his efforts and wishes him and his family all the best at Bradford.”
