Hearts Women sign Ciara Grant

06 January 2022

Ciara has agreed a one-year deal until the summer of 2023 with the option of a further year and becomes the second player to ever sign pro terms with Hearts Women - following on from our signing of Emma Brownlie yesterday.

She will join Hearts on July 1 upon the expiration of her contract at Ibrox.

A senior Republic of Ireland international, the Donegal native has amassed a prestigious footballing CV on both sides of the Irish Sea.

An energetic midfielder with an eye for goal, 28-year-old Ciara scooped a stack of medals in her homeland with Raheny United, winning two league titles alongside two successive FAI Cup triumphs at the Dublin outfit.

Another trophy-laden stint came at UCD Waves, alongside a spell at Sion Swifts and another title win at Shelbourne before a move to Scotland presented itself when Rangers came calling in January 2022.

Ciara is also a qualified doctor, picking up a degree in medicine from University College Dublin in 2017.

Everyone at Hearts sends Ciara a warm welcome to the club, and wishes her every success in a maroon jersey.
