Remembrance Service

03 November 2025

The club’s annual Remembrance Sunday Service will be held at the Heart of Midlothian War Memorial at Haymarket on Sunday, November 9th.

Conducted by club chaplain Andy Prime, the service will be attended by members of the first team coaching staff, Women's first team coaching staff, B Team, youth teams, coaching staff and members of the Board. Head Coach Derek McInnes will perform a reading that honours the bravest team and the sacrifices that they made.

The service will commence at 10.45am sharp and conclude at 11.20am, at which point members of the public will be invited to lay wreaths next to the War Memorial.

Orders of Service will be distributed on the day, please click here to view the Order of Service online.

There will be a British Sign Language interpreter at the service

The service will be filmed and streamed live on Facebook.

To avoid a bottleneck of people in other areas, all attendees are politely requested by Heart of Midlothian Football Club and Police Scotland to gather in Morrison Street, where loudspeakers will broadcast the service.

We specifically request that people do not congregate at the corner of Grosvenor Street or the crossing at Dalry Road as the experience of the service is less than ideal from these vantage points.

The road closure of Morrison St will be in effect from circa 9.30am until 12.00pm.

We advise attendees with disabilities to arrive early and gather near to the memorial so that staff can direct you to the accessible viewing area. Please contact Keith Ferguson (keithferguson@homplc.co.uk) directly with any accessibility questions beforehand.
