Wouter Vrancken and Blair Spittal have met the media in Vienna ahead of Hearts’ UEFA Conference League play-off second leg tie with SK Rapid.
With the game finally balanced following last week’s 2-2 draw at Tynecastle Park, the Jambos duo spoke about their determination to emerge victorious in tomorrow’s winner-takes-all encounter.
Wouter said; “Looking forward to it. I think with the support, again, of the fans who will be here in big numbers tomorrow. We have to make the best of it.
“We have to go full, because you know when you play against a side like Rapid Vienna now, you saw them last week. They want to play pressure, they want to construct.
“They want to build up nice, let's say, with a lot of better possession than we saw in the Sturm Graz game, for example.
“We have to put it all out there to have a good result, and there's only one objective, and that's getting through to the league phase.”
Blair said; “The two previous ties that we've had we've played against some right top teams and we're playing against another good team tomorrow, so we know we're going to need to be at our best to put ourselves in a position to go through, and that's what we're looking to do for definite.
“We know that we've got the capabilities to go and score goals. We know that we've got the capabilities to go and score goals.
“I think you can see the progress in the team. The main thing tomorrow is that we go out and put on a good performance and make sure we're in the hat for the league phase.”
