Kabore is a Jambo

06 August 2025

Heart of Midlothian is delighted to confirm the signing of Burkina Faso international forward Pierre Landry Kabore.

The 24-year-old joins from Estonian top flight side JK Narva Trans for an undisclosed fee on a three-year contract, subject to international clearance and Scottish FA approval.

Impactful on both the wing and up front, Landry has lit up the Baltics this season. Currently the league’s top scorer, he’s bagged a phenomenal 22 goals in 20 games.

The Burkinabe made a name for himself in his homeland at clubs such as Salitas and Sonabel, gaining experience in the CAF Confederations Cup - the African equivalent of the UEFA Europa League.

Following a spell at SOL FC of Ivory Coast, Landry made the move to Europe in January 2024 with Narva Trans. His first campaign ended with 11 goals and six assists as Narva Trans finished 6th in the Meistriliiga and runners-up in the Estonian Super Cup.

Landry’s electric form this campaign takes his total strikes to 33 in 51 appearances for Narva Trans, along with 10 assists.

Those performances haven’t gone unnoticed at international level. Having previously played in two Africa U20 Cup of Nations, Landry won his first full cap for Burkina Faso earlier this year.

An imposing figure, Landry now brings his talents to Gorgie and Head Coach Derek McInnes believes the forward will be worth the wait.

Speaking to the Official Hearts Website, Derek said; “It’s obviously taken a bit longer than we’d have liked to get Landry in but he’s here now and I’m pleased to get it done.

“His stats over the past couple of seasons speak for themselves so we’re hoping he’ll bring something a bit different to what we’ve currently got in our forward areas.

“He’s a big, mobile guy and very adaptable in that he can play across the front, so that versatility is a big plus.

“Scotland will be a new culture for him so we’ll show patience in terms of getting him up to speed but he’s shown he can integrate quickly from his time Estonia and we’ll do everything we can to make Landry a success at Hearts.”
