After two successful seasons in the B Team, Forrester took over the armband heading into season 24/25, but quickly made the step up to first team football, making his debut in September 2024 against Ross County.

Forrester would go on to make 34 appearances for the Jambos across the Scottish Premiership, Scottish Cup and Conference League.

In March 2025, Forrest received his first Scotland U21s call-up, before penning a new contract with the club until the summer of 2028.
