Robbie takes positives from point in Dingwall

2nd April 2022

Robbie Neilson was pleased with his team's attacking play despite being made to settle for a share of the spoils in Dingwall on Saturday.

Barrie McKay's late first-half strike cancelled out the County opener as the Jambos maintained their 14-point lead in 3rd place following an entertaining game against The Staggies.

Speaking to Hearts TV after the game, Robbie said:

"I thought we played really well in periods, we started well and had a couple of great opportunities through Boyce and then obviously the penalty miss.

"We lost our way a bit during a ten-minute period, it became really frantic and we gave away a set-piece goal. To our credit we managed to battle our way back in and 1-1 was the least we deserved at half-time.

"Craig had a couple of good saves but we were probably the dominant team in the second half, we passed it well but it's end to end here and it's hard to get control of the game with so many transitions.

"The key for me is we're getting into good positions. You'll have days when you'r not sharp in front of goal but we created alot today."
